Away From The Pool
As well as the weekly training sessions in the swimming pool, we run open water events such as beach days and lake days where our trainee lifesavers can practice their skills in open water settings using rescue skis and stand up paddle boards.
Forth Coming Events
Sunday 11th June 2023- Potters Bar Carnival @ Elm Court
We have a stand at the carnival where our lifesavers will be demonstrating CPR.
We will also be offering both children and adults the opportunity to try out resuscitation on a CPR manakin.
Saturday 17th June 2023 – Marlow International Regatta @ Dorney Lake
This is an international rowing event at Eton Dorney, Windsor (the 2012 Olympic rowing venue). We will be supporting Regatta Safety in providing water safety for this event.
There is no getting wet (unless it rains) as all water safety is from boats. Each boat has an experienced driver and we will be assisting. This event is suitable for the older Juniors, providing them with an excellent opportunity to experience water safety provision in a live event, where the skills they have learned may need to be used.
A few of the juniors have helped at these events in the past and they keep coming back as it’s an enjoyable learning experience.
